Sunny Skies and Warm Temps in the Piedmont Triad This Sunday
Current Weather Conditions
In the Piedmont Triad region of North Carolina, a frontal boundary to the north is causing some scattered showers and storms this evening. While most residents will not experience significant rain, there’s a possibility of a sudden storm popping up. The chance of rain remains low through late Saturday night, with clouds gradually clearing out by Sunday.
Weekend Forecast
Temperatures are expected to drop into the mid-50s by Sunday morning, with mostly sunny skies throughout the day. If you’re planning to be outdoors on Sunday, it’s a good idea to bring out the sunscreen. Afternoon highs could reach the mid-80s, which is close to the record high temperature for March 22, set at 85° in 1948. This means there’s potential for either tying or breaking that record. It’s worth noting that temperatures in the mid-80s are typically seen during the first weekend of summer, not spring.
