DIY hair growth serum

I remember the first time I tried making an infused hair oil. I wasn’t sure it would do much, but I’d read about rosemary and nettle being incredible for supporting hair growth in my herbal studies.

So I gave it a try. I made a small batch, let it infuse for a few weeks, and started using just a few drops on the ends of my hair each night.

It wasn’t an overnight miracle, but within a couple of months, my hair felt stronger, softer, and fuller. I made some for my sister and she noticed the same thing!

This DIY hair growth serum is a beautiful way to support your hair naturally, using just a few herbal ingredients and a little bit of time!

Benefits of Rosemary, Nettle, and Argan Oil for Hair

Rosemary is a classic when it comes to hair care. I’ve personally used it in scalp serums and infused oils, and it always amazes me how it helps stimulate circulation to the scalp, which can encourage healthy hair growth.

It also seems to strengthen the roots and balance oil production, which is such a relief if you’ve dealt with oily or irritated scalps like I have.

Nettle is another herb I’ve grown to love, even though it’s often overlooked. It’s packed with minerals like silica and iron that deeply nourish the hair and scalp. I like to add it to herbal hair rinses when my hair needs a little extra love, especially if I’ve noticed thinning or dryness.

Argan oil, often called “liquid gold,” brings moisture without the heaviness. It softens dry ends, adds a gentle shine, and helps tame frizz, perfect for when my hair feels wild.

Sometimes I’ll add a few drops of lavender and rosemary essential oils to my blends. Lavender brings a calming touch and a lovely scent, while rosemary gives that extra boost for hair growth and scalp health.

Together, they smell heavenly and I love using it!
