Honor Society
Robert King III, Boyertown, was elected to the Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi at Texas A&M University.
Penn College Students in Action
Leah J. Weber, Kutztown, was part of a group of students from Pennsylvania College of Technology, Williamsport, who assisted at the Moda Miami luxury automotive event in Coral Gables, Fla. She is an applied management major.
“We help form the backbone of the event,” said Roy H. Klinger, co-department head of collision repair and adviser to the Penn College Classic Cruisers Club. “We help handle the concours show, the staging, the auction and the ambiance of the event. We’re able to give our students real-world application of their training.”
Kira L. Adams, Bernville; Kyle J. Burke, Reading; and Jason D. Groth, Birdsboro were among the Penn College electrical construction students who worked to brighten the gymnasium and lobby of the Williamsport YMCA.
Students spent a few weeks replacing 30 fluorescent lighting fixtures at the facility with bright, energy-efficient LED lights.
