Snow is moving in and could make for a slick start to Sunday across Chicagoland.
A Winter Weather Advisory began at 9 p.m. Saturday for LaSalle and DeKalb counties and continues until 6 a.m. Sunday. The rest of Chicagoland falls under the same advisory starting at midnight and lasting until 9 a.m.
One to five inches of snowfall is expected across the region.
Temperatures will be in the upper 20s, keeping roads cold enough for snow to stick, especially overnight and during the early morning hours.
Clouds are expected to move out by early Sunday afternoon, giving the area a brief break in the wintry weather.
As winds shift to the north and northeast later in the day, some lake effect snow could develop Sunday night, mainly near the lakefront.
