Spring Weather Lingers Sunday
LAFAYETTE, La. – The night ahead will bring cool and damp conditions with partly cloudy skies. As the night progresses past midnight, patchy fog is expected to form. Temperatures will drop to around 60 degrees Fahrenheit.
On Sunday, the weather will feature a mix of sun and clouds. By lunchtime, temperatures are expected to rise into the mid-70s and reach nearly 80 degrees in the afternoon. Winds will be gusty at times, with gusts exceeding 20 mph. Pollen counts remain high, as does the UV index, so it’s important to take allergy medications and apply sunscreen. Despite these factors, Sunday promises to be an excellent day for activities like swimming in the pool or enjoying a barbecue.

As the week progresses, the most significant change will be a slight increase in temperatures, with readings reaching the mid-80s by Friday. The day will feature a mix of sun and clouds, with breezy conditions throughout the afternoon. Rain is not expected until Saturday afternoon, when a few showers may return to the forecast.
