Jonah Hill’s Bald Transformation in ‘Outcome’ Goes Unrecognized
SANTA MONICA − Is that even “Superbad” star Jonah Hill?
Talk about disappearing into a role — the bald, bearded Hill, 42, showed a dramatically different look after weight loss for the upcoming Apple TV movie “Outcome,” starring alongside Keanu Reeves, Cameron Diaz and Matt Bomer.
Apple TV premiered a trailer for the dark comedy during a Tuesday, Feb. 3 media day at Barker Hangar in Santa Monica, California, and released first-look images of “Outcome” online.

Hill directed (his third film) and co-wrote the comedy with Ezra Woods, which is out April 10. The “Moneyball” actor stars as crisis lawyer, Ira, brought in to aid Hollywood’s biggest star, Reef Hawk (Reeves), who is being extorted with a mysterious video.
Ira sends Hawk on a mission to find the people the self-centered mega star has hurt in his life and apologize. There are selfish motives as Hawk is also secretly trying to track down whoever is blackmailing him. Diaz and Bomer play Hawk’s loyal childhood best friends.
Hill, still bearded but without his bald cap, appeared on the stage at the AppleTV event on Tuesday and pretended he had written the laudatory praise the other stars were compelled to read from the teleprompter about him.
“I also think Jonah Hill is the best director and the smartest and best looking person who is actually very tall in real life,” said Reeves, towering over Hill.
“Apparently, when he directs a movie, in his contract, he is allowed to write and direct all promotional speeches as well,” he quipped. “I checked with my lawyer. Twice.”
Hill took the fake praise well. “I’m over here blushing with all of these compliments,” Hill said. “Today is not about me. It’s about the movie we just made.”
The “Outcome” ensemble cast also includes Martin Scorsese, Susan Lucci, Laverne Cox, David Spade, Roy Wood Jr., Kaia Gerber and Ivy Wolk.
