Dr Kunal Shah, a Preventive Cardiology Specialist, suggests that replacing some ghee with unsaturated plant fats can improve lipid profiles over time. He recommends options such as cold-pressed mustard oil, groundnut oil, rice bran oil, nuts, seeds, and avocado. These alternatives provide healthier fats that support heart health without increasing the risk of arterial issues.
Experts advise rotating different types of fats in a child’s diet rather than relying on a single source. This approach ensures a more balanced intake of nutrients and reduces the potential risks associated with overconsumption of any one type of fat.
