Andy Cohen Addresses Plastic Surgery Speculation

Andy Cohen, the 57-year-old television host, recently addressed rumors that he had undergone plastic surgery. The conversation began on Meta’s Threads platform, where a user questioned whether Cohen had made changes to his face after appearing on CNN’s New Year’s Eve Live, which he co-hosts with Anderson Cooper.

The user posted a question on January 1, asking, “I just saw the new clips of Andy Cohen on NYE and WTF did he do to his face?!? Is he trying to find a new husband at Mar-a-Lago?” Cohen responded the next day, clarifying that he hadn’t had any surgical procedures. Instead, he mentioned that he had “the smallest amount of Botox” and had lost “20 pounds.” He also noted that he was wearing “a lot of makeup.”

A Candid Approach to Weight Loss

Cohen has been open about his weight-loss journey, including his use of a GLP-1 medication. In a September 9, 2025, episode of Radio Andy, he revealed that he had lost weight by “micro-dosing” a GLP-1. He felt it was important to be honest about this decision, especially given his long history of discussing health and fitness on his show, Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen.

“I do think it would be completely hypocritical not to share that I did this summer lose a good chunk of weight by micro-dosing a GLP-1,” Cohen said. He explained that he was unhappy with his weight and that his doctor had recommended the medication for several reasons, including addressing his weight, plaque in his arteries, and high blood pressure.

The Impact of GLP-1 Medication

Although Cohen didn’t specify which GLP-1 medication he used, he emphasized that it helped him manage cravings and become more disciplined with his diet and exercise routine. “It really helped me with cravings, which I was having a very hard time with, and really forcing myself to be more disciplined with my diet and with working out,” he said.

He described his current health journey as “pretty rigorous” and expressed satisfaction with his decision. However, he also acknowledged that he is “privileged” to have access to the medication. “I think everybody should through insurance. This is a revolutionary drug,” he added.

Rebuilding a Relationship with Food

Cohen noted that his time on the medication caused him to “reframe” his relationship with food. “Because it was s—– before this,” he said. He emphasized the importance of being transparent, especially since he often asks personal questions on his show, such as how the Real Housewives cast members achieved their weight loss or appearance changes.

“I feel so strongly that I can’t be the one asking all the personal questions of, specifically, the Housewives. ‘How did you do it? What did you do to your face? How did you do the weight loss?’ And then be the guy who’s suddenly lost 25 lbs. but isn’t mentioning it,” he said.

Final Thoughts

Cohen’s openness about his health journey highlights the importance of honesty and transparency, especially in the public eye. His experience with GLP-1 medication has not only helped him achieve his goals but also inspired him to be more mindful of his choices and more empathetic toward others facing similar challenges.
