Local animal hospital gives back to those in need
TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — The Wabash Valley was filled with Christmas spirit as the Heritage Animal Hospital held their Christmas Open House Saturday.
People could buy raffle tickets on various items and all of the proceeds for the event go toward the Salvation Army, which will be used for 25 families they’ve adopted this year, a diaper pantry, and events like “Shop with a Cop”.
There was also a free spaghetti dinner and lots of mingling. Families could take pictures with Santa as well as other fun photo opportunities.
“We’ve seen a lot of turnout which is really nice. We’d always appreciate more turnout. Every single year I feel like we reach more of our community and get a hold of more people. I’ve had a lot of donations. We’ve seen plenty of fun pets,” said Mackenzie Slagle, Veterinary Assistant at Heritage Animal Hospital.
