Sangat disayangkan di negara kita ini, masih sangat kurang saintis/insinyur yang berkontribusi dalam perkembangan teknologi dan ilmu pengetahuan dalam negeri. Mengapa demikian? Karena memang masih kurangnya kesadaran pemerintah akan pentingnya ilmu ini, Atau bahkan bisa di bilang tidak sadar. Beginilah nasib sebagai negara yang hanya berpolitik dan berbicara. impor impor dan impor. Kapan kita akan memproduksi barang barang kita sendiri dan mengubahnya menjadi barang ekspor? Kita selalu dengar bahwa ilmu kita kurang, teknologi kita kurang.

Ya tentu saja karena tidak ada kemauan untuk membuat teknologi itu dan tidak ada pula peningkatan kualitas sumber daya manusia dalam bidang tersebut. Selain Korupsi yang merajarela, para petinggi negeri ini sangat merendahkan manfaat dari perkembangan ilmu pengetahuan. Beasiswa banyak tapi tidak di sosialisasikan. Orang jenius tidak terpakai. Bagaimana mau maju? Berbeda di luar negeri, banyak ilmuwan yang dihargai. Bahkan mantan presiden kita BJ Habibie pun sangat di hargai di jerman tapi tidak dihargai disini. Mana pesawat dalam negeri?
